Why We Are Important:
Help-My-Vision Phaco camps help many people who have cataracts have affordable or free surgeries, especially in places where hospitals are far away or too expensive. We improve vision and quality of life. We train excellent Phaco surgeries and empower ophthalmologists.
How We Compare to Hospitals:
Phaco surgery can be done in hospitals, but camps make it easier for people in rural areas to get treated. Good camps need proper equipment and skilled doctors to ensure safe and successful surgeries.
How we Do it
- Reach patients: We and our partners check people’s eyes to see who needs cataract surgery. Our Camps usually take place in local community spaces. We are organized by charities, hospitals, or NGOs. Planning includes arranging medical tools, staff, and transportation.
- Educate: We educate patients and their families about how to take care of their eyes and prevent future problems.
- Before care: We prepare patients for cataract surgery using standardized guidelines through our pre-assessment clinics.
- Perform surgery: We perform cataract surgeries in our mobile eye units and theatres.
- After care: We and our partners follow up with patients after surgery to make sure everything heals well using world class guidelines.
- Follow Up Clinics and Virtual Hospital: We have virtual Consultations via our online Platforms: EyeDoc-Connect, Local Partner Hospitals and Mobile Eye Clinics.

Help-My-vision Phaco Eye Camps (Cataract Surgery Camps)
Phacoemulsification surgery (Phaco), a common cataract surgery where the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens. Phaco eye camps are temporary clinics set up in remote areas to provide affordable or free cataract surgeries. We bring special medical teams to places where people don’t usually have easy access to eye care. These camps offer eye exams, surgery, and after-surgery care.
Our Goal is to ensure that No Nigerian is needlessly blind from cataracts and Every Nigerian Ophthalmologist is able to perform safe Phaco-emulsification surgeries with excellent visual outcomes.

Help My Vision Foundation is a Charity and we are having a Nationwide Phaco Eye Camp in Nigeria soon. We will perform 1 million Phaco- cataract surgeries every year for the next 10 years. We plan to Help the Vision of 1 million Nigerians yearly. In addition, we will train new Phaco cataract surgeons in these Camps.
